Horsforth JFC held their end-of-season awards today in front of a big crowd. All the players were in attendance with over 100 young footballers collecting either awards or medals. With categories including Player of the Year and Coaches Player of the Year, there were plenty recognition and achievement. Horsforth JFC U9s won the first piece of silverware in the Clubs history by winning the U9s Champions Cup! Coached by Leeds Sports Academy, the club has only been established within the last 3 years. Played on a magnificent pitch at the West Riding FA, the U9s were superb throughout the match. Horsforth JFC U7s went within 10 minutes of reaching their maiden cup final, narrowly losing to Farsley Celtic AFC in the semi-finals. Played over 2 matches, both sides were extremely even throughout proceedings. Drawing the first game 4-4, Horsforth JFC narrowly lost by 1 goal in the second game meaning they just failed to reach the final.
